Ghostlight (Last name unknown)

Ghost is a rather eccentric elf, probably due to the fact that she was raised by dragons after being thrown out by the elves for almost burning down their library. That brief bit of her history brings to light her two obsessions: dragons and fire. She also likes magic, particularly if it can be used to produce fire. When not reading her dragon tome or staring at an open flame Ghost may spend her time seeing things that aren't there, or pestering Norten. Despite her quirks Ghost is a really nice person who is always there for her friends.

Norten Berry

Nickname: Ga-Norten the ga-nome
Race: Gnome
Age: 40ish
Hair: Black
Eyes: Red
Height: 3' 3"
Most Valued Possession: His Dog, Bernard (because of all the times it's saved his life.)

Norten is pretty much an enigma to those trying to travel with him. He is greedy and rude and always looking for attention, but when the party is faced with danger he'll put everything on the line. Not necessarily in the brightest manner, but he does his best. Norten comes from a rich family of gnomes in Odwin where his mother still lives. Apparently they couldn't put up with him and kicked him out of the house with enough money to keep most people going for ages, but then Norten isn't most people.

Catherine Dona'Kova III

Nickname: Katie
Race: Human
Age: 19
Hair: Blonde
Eyes: Blue
Height: 5' 9"
Most Valued Possession: Her sword "Nemoryen" (that means "Justice" in elven)

Katie is easy going and likable but is possessed by a quick temper that can blow without warning. She comes from a one of the prestigious warrior families that have protected the people and nobles of Odwin for generations. Raised amid the luxury of her families considerable fortune Katie is a bit spoiled and has never known true hardship; she will need to grow up considerably if she is to be ready for the tasks that will soon confront her. Katie's Father is a Sword Master in the Odwin Shield, (the local army), and her Mother is Captain of the Town Watch. The only one not martially inclined in her family is her younger brother Zackery, who wants to become an artist. The Dona'Kova's have a long standing rivalry with one of the other warrior families in the region, the Van'Doga's.

Skamp Diplodocus

Skamp is quiet and foul tempered. He always seems to be brooding. Perhaps it is from the long years he has spent patroling the boarders between elven and human lands constantly fending off human settlers. What ever the reason he is unlikely to say anything that isn't a complaint or a criticism, but his skill with a bow makes is worthwhile to put up with his moody personality. Perhaps he'll warm up a bit once he gets to know everyone.

Tessa (last name unknown)

Age: 20ish
Hair: Dark brown, curly and extremely long
Eyes: brown
Height: 6' 1"
Most Valued Possession: Her honor

Not much is known about Tessa. She doesn't talk a lot and when she does it is usually to complain about Norten. She also claims she has amnesia and doesn't remember anything before being caught in the riot, though not many people actually believe her. She is critical and judgmental and quick to take a dislike to those who don't come up to her standards, which for all intents and purposes seem to be don't steal. She is quite positive that Norten will rob everyone blind the first chance he gets, she just hasn't caught him at it yet.

Race: incredibly short human
Age: 16 or there abouts
Hair: it appears to be a bleached blonde, who knows what is was originally
Eyes: Blue
Height: 3' 10"
Most Valued Possession: Dinner

Char is quiet, sarcastic, street wise and incredibly short. She says it's because her growth was inhibited because she's been starving her entire life. She sees the world through callused eyes, views jail as a place with a meal and a roof over your head, and may once have worked in a circus. No one has ever seen her spend a copper. Perhaps she is the one Tessa should really be watching.

Groupies and Acquaintances

Nathaniel Van'Doga

Nickname: Nate, though he won't admit to it
Race: Human
Age: 19
Hair: Deep Brown
Eyes: Blues
Height: 5' 11"
Most Valued Possession: Hard to say

Nathaniel seems to be an arrogant jerk, fond of picking on others and laying down unreasonable accusations out of spite. But then we are seeing him through Katie's point of view and their families have been rivals for generations. Maybe he really is a reasonable guy when she's not around.

 

Kevin Wayfinder

Age: 40 ish
Hair: Blonde
Eyes: Blue
Height: 6'
Most Valued Possession: Obviously unimportant to this comic

Kevin is a division captain from the Odwin Watch. He accompanies Katie and crew on their little rescue mission, though he was probably assigned there to baby sit Katie. He has been in The Watch for years and has watched countless privileged youths like Katie advance above him which has left a slightly sour taste in his mouth. At the moment though he still out ranks her and has a subtle way of constantly rubbing it in.

 

Meneara

Nickname: would you call her by one?
Race: tifling
Age: no one has dared to ask
Hair: jet black
Eyes: the same
Height: about 5' 9"

Need someone, devious, cruel and beautiful who dresses like a slut. Well she's your gal, or rather your tifling, since no one who has horns growing out of either side of their head should be considered quite human. She is the leader of the thieves guild that plagues Odwin, however, gold and jewels don't seem to be her biggest motivation. She makes it a hobby to torture, torment and play with any mice that might make it into her lair.

Ember Mastiff

Nickname: I wouldn't try to give her one
Race: human
Age: 30-40? hard to tell
Hair: Blonde, and rather long so she must have been a priestess for a while
Eyes: Chestnut Brown
Height: around 5' 3"

Intemperate and grouchy looking except when she is exalting Mendiken, Ember Mastiff is one of the foremost leaders in the Volcano Gods sudden aggressive actions. She is as determined, vicious and loyal as the dog she is named after. Most human being are just pawns for her to exploit in the name of divine mandate. Woe to any who cross her path.
